Thing 16

Wikis...I like them and UNDERSTAND them. Yea! I posted to the SBISD wiki, and I also explored many other wikis. I can see the endless possibilities for using them in the classroom. I like the idea of a top 10 list, as well as collaborative note taking. It could also be used for taking table notes (just like that one library wiki). Students, at their tables, could add information about a topic, and it could all be tracked on a wiki.

Thank you so much for being one of the first people to post a comment on my blog. Your words were very kind; it has been really intimidating looking at some of the more elaborate blogs. Yours, for example, is extremely impressive. You catch on to things very quickly!

Wikis have SO many uses. We were using one to keep track of websites for the school but now we may switch to delicious. A 3rd grade etacher is thinkning of trying to do team roadmapping with a wiki this fall. And I love the suggestion that some meetings could be handled via wiki! Let us know thorugh your blog how you use them!
